Of the 26 tastefully decorated rooms 12 are singles, 14 are doubles and they are all different sizes and shapes. Various rooms are recently renovated and more will also be attended to in the future. The shape of the building, a hexagon, provides all the rooms with a distinctly different character. The shape has also given the hotel its name, Mutter which means nut in Swedish. A very popular destination for those guests in contact with Uppsala University. We are renowned for our friendly and helpful staff which creates a feeling of the home away from home. It takes only a few minutes to get to the city centre and some of Uppsala's most appreciated restaurants and nightclubs are just a few blocks away.

Hotell Muttern is situated on a hill, Rackarberget. From here it only takes a few minutes to walk to the city centre, Uppsala University, the cathedral, Uppsala Castle, the Botanical Gardens and many more interesting sights. The bus stops outside the hotel, that takes you to the Central Station and Old Uppsala.

We only serve breakfast, however we are happy to recommend restaurants close by. A free coffee and tea buffet is available 24 hours a day.
